NetExplorer.views.pages.net_explorer.net_explorer(request)

NetExplorer application view.

Accepts:
  • GET: For visiting the page.

  • GET + AJAX: For adding nodes to visualization.

  • POST: For uploading a graph in JSON format.

Response:
  • GET:
    • experiments (list of oldExperiment): List of Experiments available in PlanNET.

    • databases (list of Dataset): List of datasets to which user has access to.

  • GET + AJAX:
    • `str`: JSON string resulting from GraphCytoscape’s to_json() method call.

  • POST:
    • upload_json (str): Uploaded JSON with graph.

    • databases (list of Dataset): List of datasets to which user has access to.

    • json_error (bool): True if uploaded JSON is not correct. False otherwise.

    • experiments (list of oldExperiment): List of Experiments available in PlanNET.

    • no_layout (int): 1 if layout doesn’t have to be computed. 0 otherwise.

NetExplorer.views.pages.net_explorer.upload_graph(request, json_text)

This function will take the request with a JSON file and it will return a template with the graph loaded (it will also handle the errors). It will return a render object to be returned by net_explorer view.

Parameters

json_text (str) – JSON string specifying graph.

Returns

HttpResponse.

Resulting from the call to Django’s render function.

Return type

HttpResponse

Raises

ValueError – If json_text is not a correct cytoscape.js graph in JSON.
